Having the right Keybinds

Post by Mobster » Sat Oct 22, 2011 10:49 pm

Ever have to lift your hand and move it to the other side of the keyboard, and get shot in the process?

Well here is how the "Pros" (Baron, and I 8-) )play.

Code: Select all

J = forward
M = backward
H = right strafe
G = left strafe
B = jump
, = crouch
SPACE = sprint
LMB = fire
MMB = aim/sights
RMB = prone
K = pistol
L = shock paddles
Y = primary weapon
T = knife
Q = commo rose
E = enter

D= VOIP transmit
O = chat all
I = chat team
APPS key = chat squad
My keys differ from Baron's a little, but they are still based around JMHG.
The point of JMHG is so you can have your hand in the middle of the keyboard, and not have to pickup your hand to press a key. If I need to hit the commo rose (Q key) I will hit it with my pinkie finger.

Base your movement around JMHG, and go from there, it may be strange at first but you will get used to it.

Let me know if this helps you, or if you use it.
Hope I didn't forget something.

Your good to go! Now get back to the fight!

It is because of Mein Baron that I play similar to this lol I really enjoy it over WASD. I would suggest everyone at least try it!

I hate "wasd" and use "asdf" for movement, and assign most other keys around them. For me it's more comfortable and since it's the standard finger layout for typing, it made more sense than crappy "wasd" :D

That along with my 5 button trackball mouse, I never have to move either hand unless I'm in a jet or heli (use stick then :D ).
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...

asdf is kinda like jmgh except you are all the way on the left of the keyboard than the center. You are missing a lot of keyboard real estate that way.
