Hey Guys,

I was thinking of a server-wide event that we could do to enhance the fun. Once a week on a Friday at 5PM EST (subject to change) for 24 hours I want to make the server PVP. Now, before I do that I will be backing up all of our save data and making a copy of it. So when the server starts as PVP you will be able to test the effectiveness of your base against attacks, or go on the attack against other tribes. Once the 24 hours is up the save data will be rolled back ensuring that anything you lost during PVP will be restored.

THE PURGE will give players the opportunity to assess the strengths and weaknesses of their base without the risk of losing any of their work. That way as soon as the server is restored to PVE players can immediately start work shoring up the parts of their bases that needed to be buffed.

Please vote on the poll and let me know if you like this idea. Also, I haven't figured it out yet but I was thinking about giving some sort of prize during or after THE PURGE. But I'm not sure how to handle that yet.

Is it happening right now? I see that the server is PvPvE currently...

Patch 188 reset the server configuration. I restarted the server with the saved config so it should be back to normal. Sorry for any inconvenience. Also did you find your dino yet?

Ok cool I figured it was somthing about the config since there wasnt a roll back.

No I didnt. I landed on top of a moutain near my place and it just flew off. I assumed that it tried to find a landing spot, so I looked around the mountain for a few hours, but couldnt find it, so not sure what happened. Wish there was a way to tell how many dino's you have claimed, so I can tell if its still alive.

I'll chalk that up to a glitch so if you want me to replace it for you just post back with the time frame that you generally play and if I'm available I'll spawn one for you and tame it for you.

Thats very nice of you. I will leave that entirely up to you. I usally play 5pm - 10pm CST during the week, and almost any time on weekends.

Since we have been talking, I have tamed another, but havnt made a saddle yet. For some reason, I cant find enough of the stuff to make it where I am at. ALmost have enough though. Come and visit regardless, its kinda lonely

What are your base coords? I can give you the raw resources back.

Gotta a few dino's outside. little mini thatch "trailer" and a taller wood building with a hanger on top of it. Also I have pipes leading from the coast up the hill and incomplete wall. Kinda at the base of the mountain.

I think this would be an amazing idea! Is this a possibility still!? I play pretty regularly and I think this would be awesome!
