Hey Guys,

So I created a new Ticketing system for our bugs. This new system will allow joey and I to address bugs in a more organized manner. Before the ticketing system, we had the Bug Reports forum which was a bunch of disorganized threads and replies with some useful information and some not-so-useful information. The new system makes all data be entered in a specific way which makes testing more effective. With this new system we are able to prioritize bugs much more efficiently. For example, with this new system in place, before we release a patch we will download the database of all of the tickets. We will then organize all tickets by High Priority for Patch 180. Then we will work down to Medium and Low priority tickets. Once all tickets are done we will delete the database and release the patch. Then the whole process will start all over again.

The success of this endeavor rests in your hands. When you submit a ticket please be sure to include as much pertinent detail as possible. Please also make sure to test your Steps to Reproduce before you submit your ticket. Follow your steps step by step and make sure you can get the error to occur. If you cannot get the error to occur then joey and I won't be able to either. In the event this happens we ask that you use the Ticketed Bug Reports forum and create a topic. There is a thread in that forum titled "README - POST STRUCTURE" please read that post and structure your post as it directs. You can also view my sample thread in that forum for additional help.

It is paramount that each thread created in the Ticketed Bugs Forum has the "Bug #" as the title and has the option "Notify me when a reply is posted" enabled. If we reply to your thread looking for more information, this setting will send you an email letting you know that we need your assistance with the bug you reported.

Thank you all for your continued support and dedication. As always we hope to continue releasing new patches to you guys and this new bug reporting system is a major step towards organizing a timely release.

what about these errors, warnings or other things that often appear in showlog-file
when i, other players or monsters doing this or that, do they count as "bug"?

if, mid or low priority?

also, if i have more than one very often, shall i make a ticket for every single
case or can i combine them into one list?

ok we got a bug or a glitch and im posting in here as i couldnt log on to do a ticket ... basically its 1.55 am and sabrina and myself r on the dev server .... sabrina has a super shock as well as myself but when sabrina has the shock in hand alot of powerups r spawning where ever she looks and it is constant.... if she is using a different weapon it stops ....... nothing is happening with n e weapons i use ...... there has been alot of players on the other server over the weekend and it has been somewhat glitchy for meand maybe for other players also so i dont know if that has n e thing to do with it .

its "only" the things that lucky-pu´s normally spawn every 30-60 sec or so. when you said
its spawning "powerups" all over the place first in my mind was a bug with magic-power-up,
that could cause that. but looking at the screenshots made it clear.

thats the problem with the deleted bug forum, there it was written. i thought its fixed.

well anyways, explanation:

she had a lucky (super-)shockrifle +3

on test server its now possible to purple weapons BEFORE you use gold wrench on it.
(even some super(NON-WOP-)weps, whyever they are purple-able, but not gold-able.

so that way you get one more slot than golding it first and then use purple, like on 179 server.

i guess "lucky weapons" are based on lucky power-ups. if you use lucky pu`s you
only can use max. 3 of them.

if you now have a "lucky" weapon +3, and you use purple wrench on it it turns into a
lucky +4 and thats the problem is not supposed to be, so a lucky +4 is the "bug" and causes
all the healthvials, healthkegs, 50-shields and doubledam to spawn/spam all the way you look
at the map.

why i think its based on pu´s is a "problem" with the reflect-pu. on 179 server you could load
max. 7 of them, description says 1 reflect pu keeps 10% of beam weapon damage away from you,
so, if you are lucky getting 7 reflect pus and waste so many slots with them you will notice
turbolasers, wands or green laser will need 1-3 hits or so longer till you die.
now on 180 server its reduced to use max. ONE reflect-shield.

in an ssr-map i had the "luck", getting a reflecting supershock-rifle +7, so, if i look at lucky-pu´s
which only max. 3 can be loaded and now instead 7 reflects only one can be loaded i also
guess the existence of a reflecting weapon higher than 1 is not supposed to be the plan.

the "problem" with that reflecting supershockrifle +7 was, i completely was invulnerable to every
monster using wands, turbos and green laser, not one single scratch, not one healthpoint lost
even when beeing surrounded by them. (too pity it doesnt reflect rocks ;) )
need to check my screenshots, also i cant remember if i had that allready posted in old forum or not.
think its next thing i try to do with that tickets...

but for now im away for 1 week, boss said if i want to work on new machine i must go 5 days into
"training-camp"...

Reflect shield has been redesigned Amy.
It now gives a flat 75% damage reduction to laser rifles and turbo lasers rather then giving a chance to completely reflect a beam.
This was to make the pu more usefull and counter the rediculously high damage of laser rifles and the previous design was not working as intended.

All shields are a flat damage reduction to those things that can normally kill you in 1 hit but their values adjusted so that you are not 100% negating their effects so these weapons are still very much threatening.
Vortex is an exception though since it makes you heavier, allowing you to stay closer to a vortex before being sucked in.
Redeemer shield is currently not working as I'd like it to work, currently only negates the initial hit rather then the pulsing damage from the shockwave wich is the most damaging part of the weapon.

think you didnt get what i meant. we talked about regular non-wop-weapons which "work" like the pu´s,
or are "designed" with pu´s features. w/e i should call them... like lucky and reflect...

Banana suppose you get a super shock rifle of reflect +7, the wands and such will do no damage to you kind of like the protection +10 gun I mentioned before.

Did my bug report and the next step was to make a thread about it in the ticketed area which asks for a password.

prot lucky reflect and venom weaps are gone.

The password was on the confirmation page when you created the ticket. I'll pm you the password later. Thamks for using the bug report system!

looks like new bugreport forum still makes trouble, a handfull players didnt understand
how it works..and noone can read about if a bug was reported ten times or if you are first to post it.

to be save from x more or less useless answers about one bug or thousands of this or that bugs within one topic,
is it possible to built the bugreport area "public", but as a single report forum only?!?

i mean, report a bug with a new topic name, after it is submitted the topic is automatic closed so everyone can read it
but only forum admins can answer? true, that way you have single reports without priority settings, so you have to sort
it that way by yourself, but at least i think you would get more input than now.
