Ok so I brought back the old bug reports forum as a Non-Ticketed bug reports forum. When you encounter a bug post it in there. If you are the first to report a bug and other people are experiencing it then make a ticket. Then once the ticket is made make a post in the ticketed bug reports forum following the instructions contained in that forums announcements. I made Gothicizes post for him as an example.

what about more or less "harmless" <things>, like missing animations from monsters like this:

Code: Select all

Log: PlayAnim: Sequence 'SwimF' not found for mesh 'MK1SpitFireMesh'

(spitfire not supposed to be able to swim...)

or the fkn bunny:

Code: Select all

Log: PlayAnim: Sequence 'root' not found for mesh 'Rabbit'
(if it sits somewhere, nothing happens, if it sees a player and starts hopping,
message appears every "hop")

do these things count as (ultra-low-) bugs?

That bug has been around for years. Joey couldn't either figure it out or it was one of those bugs that cant be fixed.

Usually happens when you are cycling thru your power ups to fast.

Also your client patch is 3369. Our custom mod is currently patched to 180/181. (The classic server is 179.)

Nope, when you first joined the server you downloaded everything you needed. It's just one of those bugs that is unfix able. Try not to cycle [ ] between your PU's as fast.

another unfixed and more or less known bug until now true reason still not found.

two reasons still known for that type:

small maps with just a handfull player/monsterspawns do that, for example "DM-(DcW)-Rock_Concert"
is doing that still now even with the "new" 180 patch, its like 7 from 10 times played that map crashes with
the mass-lagout.

there was a DM-INV-legoland version that crashed like 4-6 times from 10 times beeing played, depending on how many
players played.

strangely since patch 180 and some other fixes like the deleting of 1000s of "non-playing/existing-level10-players"
(those who join and leave after 3 seconds whe beeing killed after 1 sec, or those who play with different name
on other servers and forget to rename on this one.) from servers "player-ini" (or w/e its called)
that map i cant remember having crashed anymore.

also, i will ask you a question:

437 ?

you might think now what that means, 437 what? birds? pencils? peoples? well i dont know, YOU tell me!

or in other words, please try to remember what happens!
1. what map ?
2. how many players (or maybe even who played, maybe someone is to "buggy" for this server)
[or one player is "lagging" the server with a constant 826ping...]
3. which wave? the higher the waves the more action is going on and with that the possibility
for a crash of that kind is increasing.
4. did you make a traceroute? to see if one server between you and the gameserver might have a breakdown
5. evtl the time (maybe did something happen at that time to the server farm or w/e..)
(cant tell if there is a time-log or if even EVERY crash logfiled or noticed to be a "crash")
6. maybe a special situation, like a special (rare) monster or (rare) artifact has spawn.
(i know one dargon is causing a lagspike from 0.5-2 seconds sometimes, depending on wave and map,
but i didnt found out yet which dragon, since you often never see every place in the map)
also every time when the turretlauncher-artifact drops from a monster or an admins spawns it,
theres a 1-3second lagspike! but these two "events" never caused that mass-lagout

hmmm... how to continue the questions... just try to remember even small in your oppinion useless
things, you see, those who "created" this "bugs", to say it in that way ;-) tend to think very often
about very special extrem superrare coincidences, which could cause problems, but instead
the server just didnt like the simple letterkombination "f-u-*-k" and crashed..

hope you understand what i meant...
so please dont start to report every 0.03 milisec lagspike just at the same time when someone
told another player he didnt like arnie schwarznegger... ;)
