Time to avert a hijack:

Make sure you're using a comfortable mouse/keyboard and as much as it's convenient, stay away from wireless, even if it's bluetooth... there's always problems.

Wireless mice tend to be heavier because of the batteries (and if it has a rechargable lighter nicad or li-ion batt it's usually got a rediculous shape or feel to it to make up for the cost).

I'm using wireless right now, the logitech s510 combo and i love putting my keyboard on my lap to type like right now, but when i game i notice a severe problem with accuracy, sometimes an input will stick and i'll be strafing right forever or something, just an annoyance. I'm actually bidding on ebay for a new mouse and keyboard now, looking for a saitek eclipse red (cool looking and good reviews... believe it or not the font on the keys and the fact that people say it doesn't wear down are what sold me) and a g5 (the battlefield 2142 edition g5's are going for cheap and that's my other big game right now.

Logitech MX510, 518, and G5 mice are in my opinion the best simply for the shape alone (and i've been swapping mice since 1998 when "gaming mice" were invented with the razer mouse at 2000 dpi on a ball mouse). They have the best reviews everywhere.

As far as keyboards, the logitech G11 owns (5][reaper and 5][Iceman use the G15, but i've heard there are driver problems with the little lcd, the extra bind keys on the left are ownage). But pretty much any keyboard with a comfortable feel to you is good, as long as the stroke length isn't too long like those oldschool clicky keyboards.

i used to play instagib quake3 all the time, i go to quake con every year and get my fill still.

dot as a crosshair is ESSENTIAL! like drae said... scale it down and you get it to around 2 or 3 bright pixels... mmm perfect for those long ass shots playing instagib ctf on faceclassic when you're firing at blinking red or blue pixels.

also a note that some may forget... strafe for more aim... strafe into shots and match movement. this can be debated because you should be able to just aim with the mouse perfectly but sometimes that doesn't happen (and won't happen when you're flying through the air). You won't be able to properly jook someones shorts off if youre using your movement to aim, but it helps in certain situations and definitely helps in joeyz unless you're staring down a wand.

Border and Zombie go WAY>>>WAY Back...LMAO. even before Zombie was a ADMIN. master...lol

I don't I have never a had a problem on the server regarding my wireless mouse and keybord. Works great for talking on the mic and playing online. WAIT I didn't have a problem one day. My batteries died because I never plugged in my charger when I was playing around with my computer...hmmm....(was is my bad or the mouse bad?)
Later all!

Its funny how much I see Zombie getting ripped on and Axe being defended by Border. Kinda like the exact opposite of most players, like some kinda conflict is desired...hmm. Its hardly fair to rip on Zombie about his level, as if that were actually some indication to his ability to be a fair admin. Have you ever looked at joeyz level? there are people around for less than a month with a higher level id wager. Ive never seen zombie lose his cool, ive seen many times that he would push a map that won a vote after the crash, ive seen him deal with trouble makers on the spot even though it hindere his ability to play. You speak of some "Zelda Server" I personally have never seen this server, but who are you to say its wrong? Or if he playes another game entirely? Apparently Joeyz saw something in him worth making a figurehead for the server, and I fully agree with his choice, Zombie does nothing that i have seen that reflects badly on this server. No hes not a saint, but hes a good admin, a decent player, and a worthy Carballer

Yes you offered to put that behind us, but that doesn't mean I have to like you. There isn't really anything to put behind us in my mind.

Do I hate you? Naw not worth the effort 8) We get along pretty well I suppose for 2 people that don't like each other much.

Look at Kurt, everybody knows I don't like him and he doesn't like me too well either. Do we have problems? Nope. He knows I won't mess with him as long as he doesn't break the rules. Same with you. Only time I messed with you was when you broke the rules.

As long as no rules are broken no action is taken.

As for the experience crack, you have no idea how much admin experience I have. Have I been here since Joey first started a server? No, and I never have claimed to be. Have I been an admin on UT servers for years? Yes I have. Ask Anna, Twinkie, Axe umm I think that's all that play here that have "known" me for years. In fact my first admin experience with UT was waaay back in 04 on one of the 6lo servers. Then after that server went kaput I wound up on Trikons server and was admin there until it too went kaput. Bear in mind I wasn't the reason the servers went kaput, the main admin on both servers had things come up in life and just couldn't do it anymore.

I also have years of admin experience on forums and other game type servers so for the comment about not having "half the exp many of the vets have" ... well ;) I've answered that and provided a few sources to back up my claims.

So now before this thread goes any further off track, I suggest that you either take this to PM or the spam forum (which I rarely read btw) :)

P.S. I have never asked to be an admin at any of the servers on which I've held that role. Same goes for the forums that I admin or moderate.

yes, nice bigotted comment there, axe. i am sure that adds another check to your list of adding harm to people. interesting for you to bring up sexuality and references of the rump. we know what your subconscious desires to know someday. anyhow, i know a few here are not heterosexual for a fact, i myself being bisexual, so leave the discrimination to your real, immediate life.

as for killing stuff before it spawns, i am not sure what you mean. it is often while i shoot, direct fire or splash damage kills some weaker enemies that just happen to spawn somewhere in firing range, an event not uncommon for probably any player here, you fool. -,,-

Axe you have been banned, not sure for how long though. No paint didn't do it, I did.
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...
