when i was on a cure in a special hospital because of my chronic lymph edema (in my feet) some years ago
a doc told me "the only thing you can do is running away from that illness" (it was meant like, if i stand still,
more water will make my legs bigger and bigger.. if i do sports like dancing or nordic walkin, it "saves" me from that...)
well... the question is, what happens when we are older...

then i found this video, the shortest can be the funniest, but totaly fitting :-)

I have to take Lasix (a diuretic) to rid the water build-up (otherwise I get "Fred Flintstone feet". That stuff makes you pee a lot so I have to be near a bathroom for the first few hours after taking it. The joys of getting old.

here its known as "Elephantiasis", i must wear heavy "compression stockings" against it, doc says diuretic pills
is badest things i could do, cause it takes water from everywhere in your body but not really ONLY from
the affected parts, only to use it at the beginning of the first symphtoms, (if a "newer" younger doc can recognice
it, most time they fail and say, "just dont eat so much..." ) and not to use when its to late in my stage when it gets
chronic... but yeah you are right... the joy of youth is long gone... ;( :(

its allways said "laughing is the best medicine".. i´ll try..

Well, I've been taking Lasix for over 5 yrs and it works with no problems. I get tested every 6 months regarding my kidneys and liver to make sure everything is alright. Plus I exercise everyday with walking, pushups and situps.
