Alright the replacement hard drives came in today and they seem to be working just fine. The FTP is setup and I am transferring the data over. After that I have to setup the redirect server and transfer that data, then I'm just waiting for joey to reconnect the remote desktop so I can transfer the 179 and dev servers over. We are almost t here. If I can get all of that done tonight then we will reach the deadline of having the server shipped out tomorrow to be up and running on Friday.

The Windows update is installed but the non-essential hardware isn't updated because I can't find working drivers for Windows Server 2012 r2.

Germany has had issues in the past when using their rail system to move things around, but it's probably safer now.

That said, cannot wait to play on the server.

Most everyone we know has been playing in the "Dragons Lair" invasion server, which is run straight off of a home PC...in England. Lots of action, very little lag/PL...it will be amazing to play on a new server "made" to host several players at once...SO HURRY UP!!! :uberhappy: :uberhappy: :uberhappy: :uberhappy: :uberhappy:

We are behind schedule by a day. Joey unfortunately had to put his dog down on Monday night and spent Tuesday grieving with his family. Him and I will be on tonight transferring all of the data. As long as things transfer quick enough the server should ship out tomorrow. We are almost there!!

Thx for the suggestion but these seems to be for virtual machines only.

i think long distance transport is allways a 50/50 thing, no matter if using letters or a container...

well, like in word association game, when i read the word "shipment", the first thing that
comes inmy mind are the pictures from that sinking containerships, even when
shipment has (i think) more to do with transport than with ships...

sidestory about transport insurance. my ex-boss wanted to sell an old allways failuring
(and every 3 days needing repair) machine. he said he would be happy if someone pays
3-4000euro... but for many month no interest. (those who know about this machine would
never ever buy such an old error only...)
one day suddenly a huge truck arrives and they said they want to buy that machine
for 35.0000 (!!!) without seeing it. payment 10.000 now, rest when machine arrives
at destination on my boss´s bankaccount. he said he want to sleep a night before he
say yes...
because that was so odd he asked police. they didnt know that company and researched.
they found out that they buy machines, put them in containers, making very expensive
insurances and then "ship" the cotainer to afrika, where the containers are wrecked
by "accident" and the insurance companys have to pay like 150.000 or more for an old
machine like ours... guess what. they were never seen again, police tracked them down
because of that information from my ex-boss...

so yeah, make a insurance about 10.000$ for the server-"shipment" ;)
