New Invasion Map work

Post by WrathShielder » Wed Nov 15, 2006 5:28 pm

Finishing up a new map that I will get up and posted for testing hopefully this week. I just pulled a basic screenie out of the editor (not that i am editing maps at work or anything) but here is a peak. I wanna run in game and take some shots for a better feel of the size and look for snags. I am still finishing up B3RTs map as well.

As do I DB, yet in this one I did a little mirror imaging versus making it truly symetrical. I have expanded this map further making a few inner passages that are too small for titans and queens and lucifers and should offer a little cover for later waves but there are no truly safe spots. You can't see in the screenie but there is a tower at the top of the elevator staff so make a last stand if needed. I won't put any spawn points in the tower but I will path the elevator so the bots come up after you. This map may feel a little tight especially with sspeed on but should give you a, as Bert pointed out, smooth layout to work around the map picking up weapons, etc. I have a little more work to do and still need to path it but I hope to put a link to a download by tomorrow. I will also get a couple of in game screen shots up instead of just this one aerial view. Thanks for the comments.
