Suggestions for the future

So I gave some more thought into some ideas that you could look into for the future.
My goal with these ideas is to both bring more balance to weapons making them more equel and give new ideas for the RPG.
I'm still tweaking my ideas here and there or totally rework them, but I'll keep on updating this post.
Some things might look odd at first but will become clear why as you read further through the post.
Things in this post are intended to be for patch 181 so don't expect to see them in patch 180.


Updated April 18, 2014 new things are highlighted.



Powerups:
- Radiated shells: Increases the temperature of flak shells and fragments, shells (alt fire) do more damage and fragments (main fire) go through enemies.

- Enhanced Avril: Avril does more damage, doesn't kick you back, heals more, vamps more. Alt fire shoots twice as fast for half the damage.

- Enhanced grenades: grenade launcher shoots grenades like the UT99 RL alt fire. Mainfire is a single grenade, alt fire you can load up multiple grenades to be released at once.

- Enhanced spiders: spider mines now crawl over walls and ceilings, do more damage, move faster and no more maximum limit. Alt fire spawns a spiderqueen (limit 1) wich will spawn spider mines to attack nearby enemies, queen remains stationary and will be attacked by monsters and can be destroyed.

- Web: Spammable mainfire added so it doesnt load up, so you hold it down and it keeps firing balls in a straight line that do splash dmg.

- Lucky no longer being better then superlucky.


- Chain lightning: lightning gun hits arc to 2 additional nearby enemies.

- Lightning ball: lightning gun shoots slow moving balls of lightning wich explode on impact.

- Healing 5: same effect as 5 healing PU's.

- Lucky 5: same effect as 5 lucky PU's.

- Rage 5: same effect as 5 rage PU's.

- Poison: poison and poison5 PU ticks each has a very low chance to proc vorp.

- Inferno beam: reworked, burning targets you hit. Burn deals damage and has a chance to proc vorpal.

- Explosive rounds: gives sniper rifle and mp5 splash damage (much like lilly).

- Incendiary rounds: sniper rifle and minigun ammo turns into incendiary rounds, burning targets you hit. Burn deals damage and has a chance to proc vorpal.

- Resupply no longer useable on superweapons (deemer, ion etc).

- Mp5 lasermine only triggered by monsters.

- Cluster and RL spread is always 8 rockets and just 1 per weap.

- Awareness: Reworked, gives you a chance to strike at a monsters weak point, doing double damage.

- Piercing: Fixed so it works for all non splash damage weapons/firemodes against all monsters.

- Seeker: Removed, plenty of usefull RL pu's as it is and this one isn't used at all.

- Disrupter: Changed so it works for all weapons and doesn't change the firemode, rather becomes much like propulsion etc.

- ShockSpread: Removed, for the situations its usefull, shock combo is better.

- Rage: now increasing your damage by 15% but increase your damage taken by 5% aswell rather then the old effect.

- ProxyMine: Increased damage to that of the lasermines, doesn't get triggered by other players and their fire and don't let them trigger each other.

- Award: Gives experience rather then scoreboard points.

- FireRocket: Removed, plenty of usefull RL pu's as it is and this one isn't used at all.

- ReflectiveRL: Removed, plenty of usefull RL pu's as it is and this one isn't used at all.

- Piercerator: Removed

- Invis: Make monsters less likely to attack you.

- KnockBack: Rare version of propulsion with increased effect in the knockback but the same 5% damage bonus.

- Freeze: Splash damage no longer freezes yourself and the PU can be combined with force/force5/superforce and a 5% dmg bonus.

- PullForward: Can be combined with propulsion and knockback, so the monsters bounce back and forward.

- NullEntropy: Splash damage no longer roots yourself and the PU can be combined with force/force5/superforce.

- Stone: Splash damage no longer stuns yourself and the PU can be combined with force/force5/superforce and gives you a 5% dmg bonus.

- Armor Piercing rounds Sniper rifle.

- Tesla gun LG: stream of lightning like link alt fire but unlimited range.

- Bio Living slime: slimes acts like normal slime of bio but also come to life. Moving to nearby targets and exploding on contact. Moves over floor, walls and ceilings.

- Reaper: transforms your chainsaw into a reaper, mainfire acts like a ssr mini and chainsaw combined. Alt fire acts like chainsaw with more damage then mainfire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dih8iag-mgk 2nd weapon in the video.




Weapons:
- Weapons and their PU's balanced into 2 tiers. All weapons in the given tier will do around the same amount of damage and vorpal chance.
Regular weapons with their weapon specific powerups
Special weapons/specialweapon powerups

- Flare alt fire is clusters instead of the current.

- Zen benelli alt fire reworked, fires two shots quickly after each other but has half the weapon speed.





RPG:
- Auras: you can chose one aura with different effects and each rank increases the effect, auras effect you and nearby players. The effects are:
Health regen
Damage reduction
Damage bonus
Movement speed bonus
Weapon speed

- Combo Whore: the effect of your adrenaline combo's is increased. Each rank yields a 5% movementspeed bonus to speed and 20% increased effect on booster.

- Magic weapon maker: Gives your weapon a random enchant, consumed on use.


- Eye for an eye: when you take damage equill to 30% of your max health, the monster that did the damage takes a percentage of that damage aswell. Increases per rank.

- Platinum Wrench (super rare, and drop artifact only.) = Turns any positive weapon (No negatives or misfortunes) to a WoP +10 with extra slots. (by Mobster).

- Silver Wrench = Pretty much what a gold wrench is now. (by Mobster).

- Gold Wrench = "Golds" but also adds up to +5. (by Mobster.

- Ultima: instead of releasing a redeemer explosion, it releases a nuclear explosion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me79Cz6jZvs&fmt=18

- Red wrench: merges five force1 pu's into one force5 and one force5 pu into one superforce that are on your weapon, red wrench is consumed after merging is complete
Damage1 -> damage 5
Protection1 -> protection 5
Speed1 -> speed5 -> superspeed
Sturdy -> Iron sturdy -> phantom
Healing -> healing5
Retaliation -> retaliation5
Poison -> poison5
Resupply -> infinity
Energy -> energy5
Lucky -> lucky5 -> superlucky
Rage -> Rage5

- Classes: randomly assigned to random people each map who vote to become a class (inspired by ATS)
Commander
Ability 1: Artillery strike
Ability 2: Vehicle drop
Ability 3: Nuke bomb (1x per map)
Ability 4: Broken arrow, activated when the commander dies (1x per map)

Medic
Ability 1: Medic gun: this gun heals allies up to 250 health past their max health and has a random magical enchant/is a wop and is goldeable
Ability 2: Medic tent: 2 health kegs in it that respawn every 1 minute
Ability 3: Health probes: deploy a health probe wich follows and heals a nearby player for 25 health per second for 10 seconds, 3 minute cooldown
Ability 4: Revive: revive a dead player (1x per map)

Special forces
Ability 1: Sniper tower: place a sniper tower wich you can climb upon
Ability 2: Sig666: grants you this weapon and has a random magical enchant/is a wop and is goldeable
Ability 3: Claymore: grants you this weapon with infinite ammo
Ability 4: C4: grants you this weapon with infinite ammo

Support
Ability 1: Adrenal stim: gives you and nearby allies an adrenaline boost, granting 10 adrenaline per second for 10 seconds, 3m minute cooldown
Ability 2: Rally: temporarely increase the movement speed of nearby allies by 50% for 10 seconds, 3 minute cooldown
Ability 3: Team shield: deploys a team shield
Ability 4: Supply drop (only regens ammo and shield)

Engineer
Ability 1: Wall
Ability 2: Bunker
Ability 3: Turretlauncher (limited to 3 active at a time)
Ability 4: Repair wrench: heals walls, bunkers, towers, tents, vehicles and turrets





Bosses:
- Cycloid Emperor: from duke nukem.

- King Rex: King of the dinosaurs, equipped with lazorz and when he bites you you're dead.


- Sith Emperor: equipped with not just 1 but 2 lightsabers and ofcourse for long range force lightning.

- Superqueen: the queen of queens.

- Hitler: same as he is now but beefed up.

- Dragon boss: if you ever played wow, this is propably gonna be a lot like onyxia so run for your life when deep breath is coming.

- Technospiderqueen: queen of the vacharys and spider tanks and all the mechanical 8 (or less) legged freaks.

- Boss luci: final boss.






Monsters:
- Assault Trooper from duke nukem

- Assault Captain from duke nukem

- Pig Cop from duke nukem

- Recon patrol vehicle from duke nukem

- Octabrain from duke nukem

- Enforcer from duke nukem

- Asssault commander from duke nukem

- Protector drone from duke nukem

- Battlelord from duke nukem

- Overlord from duke nukem

- Dogs: when a dog is killed, all nearby soldiers become enraged firing twice as fast.

- Valkyr: resurrects a dead player as a bot to fight for the monsters.

- Fire skaarj more damage (boss luci dmg).

- Gasbag damage increased (boss luci dmg).

- Fire dragon (boss luci dmg).

- Supercreeper: minecrafts supercreeper, same as the regular creeper but squishier and they release a nuclear explosion

- Luciboss: summons a pool of fire under the targetted player wich will deal damage to players standing in it every 0.5 seconds.. Pool of plasma will increase in size every time someone takes damage. Acts much like defile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW9emih5fwA





Artifacts:
- Special weapons crate also gives you the PU's needed to upgrade the ONS weapons that are in it.

- Hero charm: artifact that summons a "Hero" monster wich will help you defeat the other monsters. Hero's so far:

FYI: I only use 1 resupply on the deemer. If you take your time then just that one will turn into infinite deemers. Otherwise 2 infinities on any of the other guns for twice the weapon speed.

Depending on the map and what other weapon I have, I do the same.
Resup5 just for converting it to inf, though might props have to make it more rare then the droprate I mentioned.

I like the idea with the lightning gun, then again I don't see anyone using it but me.

I think when people realise it's a good PU to use they will start to use it more often since people tend to go with the good/best PU's/weapon setups.

Edit:
I'm putting a lot of effort into balancing weapons so that all regular weapons are roughly as usefull as one another but with different advantages and disadvantages.
Gonna be doing the same thing for the special weapons but keep them balanced seperatly from the regular weapons because they are special and harder to obtain.
Will be doing extensive testing of each weapon soon but it will require a lot of time so you won't see much changes for weapons anytime soon.

If people have ideas for anything but you cant think of the details to work it out or so or just a rough idea, feel free to post them and I'll see what I can come up with or someone else.
They're all just ideas so it doesn't mean they will be implemented or implemented as they are in this post, some might be in 180 most others in 181.

Like I got a idea from Mobster to work on.
- A stationary contraption that monsters spawn wich will buff them and where the C4 of the special forces class comes in to destroy it.

Or if you have an complete idea, I'll add them to the post with referring to you that you came up with it.

Nuke pu for flak. Fires mini nuke projectiles (similar to blast), and when it spins thru the air 4 mini wand beams shoot out the side of each projectile slicing and instakilling any monster that touches it.
