UT 20% Wont work

Post by FerreT » Tue Nov 27, 2007 8:28 pm

Most of todays computer systems for some reason wont cooperate with UT3. EPIC games probably wont have another sequel from the looks of how horrible UT3 was. It was a major downfall when the set back the release date, now with a HUGE flaw in which a lot of people can't even install the game.

THE FLAW
On some computer systems once it configures your system and asks to restart. Werther you select yes or no it will still occur. When you click the icon it will come up with an error saying your missing a .dll from the CD, if you spent the time finding all the .dll's and you click it again it will say misplaced. So if you restart nothing pops up and same error occurs. I reformatted my PC multiple times, and still no solution. I have just one recommendation...

DON'T BUY UT3

I just luv it when people post problems with either their computer or a program install......AND DON'T LIST WHAT THEIR HARDWARE CONSIST OF.

List your system specs and lets see if we can help you.

Hmm, mine missed a dll, and still installed and played. I just remembered that.

We had a pretty fair heads up on what the minimum specs would be. You have no one to blame.

Sounds like a loose nut somewhere between the chair and the keyboard...

I've tried everything ... I know I have more than what it needs to run.

AMD Athlon x2 2.2GHz
Corsair 2x 1GB DDR2 800mhz
MSI K9AG Neo2 MB
Windows xp 64-bit
80GB HDD ~7200 rpm
Nvidia 7300gs OCed 600MHz Core and 985MHz memory (512MB DDR2)

THE PROBLEM
Installs fine, when you double click on the icon an error pops up.
"dx3dx10_35.dll not found"
I've tried installing all the .dll's and it didn't work
I've edited the .ini file... That didn't work.

It's a windows error... Either my OS sucks or my drivers are out of date, Which I updated everything .. even reformatted my PC.

First of all kill Windows XP 64, instal Windows Vista 64 (if you want 64), second off all dx3dx10_35.dll i think this file belong to DirectX10 and windows xp doesnt have DX10, so if you want to instal game just use windows xp, windows vista, windows vista 64 for now.
